Project Management

We are committed to managing projects for success, both within Information Services and for our customers. A managed project has a far greater chance of success than an informal project. Projects run informally can miss deadlines, get sidetracked, have additional requirements added on mid-way through, and can run on forever. A managed project has defined goals, a clear scope, and an end date. A project manager is responsible for keeping projects moving, reducing distractions, and ensuring project team members are meeting their goals.

Information Services hosted a 4-part project management seminar in the fall of 2008 for our staff and key leaders across the division, to introduce the concepts of project management, and provide a common language and set of tools for communicating with each other about projects.
